A temporary area closure is in effect on the Mt. Haig area of Castle Mountain Resort. This closure is in place so that Castle Mountain Resort staff, and contractors, can perform important trail and road work, with the help of heavy machinery. Improvements to access roads and sections of several trails are being undertaken, in order to improve the experience of our guests, in time for this season.
Access to the area outlined in the image below is prohibited until further notice. Trails such as Paradise Lake, Haig Ridge, and the majority of the Haig Lake South trail are all closed. Haig Lake remains accessible via the Haig Lake North trail, out and back.
This closure is temporary and will be lifted in time for winter operations. The Huckleberry Chairlift, all runs accessible from this lift, as well as Castle’s Powder Stagecoach Cat Skiing operation will operate as usual, this winter.
